Who AM I

Using my artist nickname Pep Walls, I am a Freelance Artist based in Barcelona. Throughout my career I worked from sculpture engraving and installation, but above all I focus professionally in mural painting. I am graduated on fine arts at the University of Barcelona, coursing one year at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague.

I started painting graffiti in 2015, and today I have murals for different countries of the European Union, such as the Czech Republic, Sweden and Malta, where this summer I curated and co-organized the first edition of the street art exhibition Outside In Valletta.


My murals are characterized by being of a synthetic and illustrative style but full of irony and sarcasm. Conceptually, my work deals with the concern about an imminent social and environmental collapse.

I am interested in exploring the connections that art can establish with the community and education. I always seek for ways to transform my personal projects into collaborative workshops and social research initiatives.

My style is unique, recognisable, and comes up after many years researching a personal technique adapted to design big surfaces. I can work from large-scale buildings facades to smaller spaces.

Fine arts

From sculpture, painting, printmaking and mixed media projects, I have taken part in solo and collective shows around Europe with my studio work.

My personal projects have been awarded with residences and production grants. I am always open to commissions for private or public clients, and actually looking for a gallery space to collaborate with.

Illustration

With large experience in the field of illustration I can take commission for digital or analogue illustration projects, applied from editorial publication to fashion or product design.

My most known illustration technique is the linocut, a traditional print making technique that offers graphic black and white contrasted results.
