LIL HINN MILL-FRUNTIERI

A mural for the Refugee Week Malta third edition.

Finally I can show you the final results from the mural workshop I’ve been working in collaboration with Refugee Week Malta. During the last two weeks we’ve been designing and painting this mural painting in collaboration with the people residing at the Hal Far Open Centres and the neighbour communities of Gzira, sparking collective knowledge on the topic of “Our Home”.

This it’s been an amazing experience and opportunity for me as an artist to meet and listen lots of experiences and witnesses from migrants residing in Malta, and the stigma they have to carry as refugees living in the island. With these kind of projects, we aim to reach a new point of view on these communities we share our country with, while we create opportunities for inclusion and common understanding.

Thanks mostly to Malta International Arts Festival for all the support you show to the project.
