The return of the river
Some photos of my last community project with the young people from Capçanes, Catalonia. A small village in the "Priorat" region.
For this mural we have represented all those traditions, legends and folklore typical of the town of Capçanes with which the young people identified. Like "Carrasclet", the Catalanist hero, the village puppets, the town shield with the goats and the dove and the church.
For both the design and execution of the mural I was working with the youth from the village, who worked with me and helped me everyday to paint this big wall. We paint the whole thing in only 5 days!
How could it not be otherwise, it is also an activist mural, which calls for the return of the river to the Capçanes lake, and which places a rainbow in support of the LGTBI group with the church, often the institution that gives less movement support.
